My Idea for an Advert

I will be advertising shoes, my unique selling point will be that they can be used in any situation, casual, sport, formal, etc. I will have an actor such as Chris Evans who has been in a lot of films recently because he is very popular at the moment, and he played a superhero which makes it even better because he is a role model.
The name of the product will be Morales because it will be easy to remember and catchy.
The main colour will be dark purple as it appeals to both men and women.

Adverts for Shoes

This is Adidas advertising their new shoes and slogan, "All Day I Dream About S-" I like how they have incorporated the shoes design into the cloud, it makes it eye catching, but I don't like the colours, they are very dull, even the shoe is white so there is no attention to them. It doesn't have a great unique selling point, only that they are "electrifying". It doesn't have a clear target audience but it appeals to young people because of the thunder which makes it exciting.
This is Vans advertising their "Half Cab" shoes, I like that the name is from skateboarding so they have a skateboarder advertising it. This is also the selling point, it is saying that buying these shoes will make you a better skateboarder. The target audience is teenagers and young adults because it is very exciting  and there is a crowd to impress.

This is Converse advertising their high tops, I like how unique it is using an everyday situation, the unique selling point is that they are saying that the shoes are so appealing and strong that even gum can't stick to them, the target audience is people who go out a lot because they need to have strong and durable shoes.

Analyzing Clever Adverts

  • How can you tell who the target audience is? (age, gender, interests etc)

This advert is aimed at women who are about to get married and want to lose weight.

  • What is the “unique selling point” of the product making you DESIRE this product (ie why should you buy THIS product)
It promises to help you lose weight before your wedding, something a lot of women would want.

  • Why would an audience like this advert or be "interested" by it?
The picture shows a bride falling through the cake because she is too heavy, and brides will worry about their appearance at their wedding so they will be interested in it.

  • What do the colours in the advert signify? (about the product, company or audience)

  • All of the colours are similar.

    Rooney and Lucozade Advert

In this lesson I found out how to use a variety of pictures and effects to create an advert. We used the pen tool and the Render features under Filter. I added lighting effects and designs in the background to make it more appealing.
