Film Trailers

Actors - The main character is featured prominently throughout the trailer, and the viewer will often see all events from their point of view. Large, intimidating men in action trailers are generally the villain and they are seen as unstoppable. Christian Bale is known as Batman, Liam Neeson is known for thriller films and Tom Hardy is known for fighting films, etc.
Face/Body -Very serious expressions, extras looking worried possibly because of an incoming danger, the villain stands tall and above everyone to show he is taking over/better than everyone.
Costume - Casual clothes means that the film will be about in an ordinary character who either has a double life or someone who falls into a problem and then the trailer will show the events which happen after that. But if the men are in suits and look presentable then they will be agents or someone who is prepared from any problems.
Action/Props - Fight scenes, weapons, explosions are conventions of action films and are seen in most action trailers.
Colours - Light in the beginning and getting dark towards the end shows the contrast in the films tone eg, it starts off calm and then something causes the story to because exciting and dangerous.
Certificate - 12) mild violence and adult themes, some low-level bad language which will interest adults but is also okay for children to watch with an adult. 15) A lot of violence, some gore/blood, adult themes, strong language and adult references.
Release Date - Summer release date means the studio hopes it will be a big film which gains a lot of profit as many big budget, popular or sequels are released between June and September so there will be a lot of competition.
Awards - Awards from respected reviewers will increase the chance of people watching the film, such as an Oscar, Bafta, Golden Globe, etc.
Website - There will be more information, pictures and videos on the website so the viewer gain more interest if the website is well designed and appeals to its target audience.
